Durable intellectual communities require face-to-face discussion, and a degree of privacy and intimacy that is rare in social life today.

Those involved have the opportunity to participate in conversations they will rarely be part of elsewhere, and the chance to share ideas and rehearse arguments in a convivial and serious social setting. We won’t shy away from topics often sidelined or censored by mainstream media and traditional institutions.

An important touchpoint for the Palm Springs School for Social Research, these salons will be held several times a year, in different locations across the globe, with our Founder and Director Catherine Liu as the primary host.

In the future, we will feature special guests who will join the PSSSR cohort to facilitate these intimate events.
