Our Launch Conference: What is the Social of Socialism?
Frankfurt, June 12-13, 2026
Today, everyone suffers alienation and coercion: we all experience powerlessness. We want to be the people you can count on in a struggle for a more authentic, more engaged way of being in the world and with each other.
In June 2026, the Palm Springs School for Social Research launches with a two-day conference asking: “What is the Social of Socialism?” featuring papers by Vivek Chibber, Roger Lancaster, Lee Jones, Catherine Liu, George Hoare, and Tara Heffernan.
The PSSSR facilitates a pro-social environment. Each session offers ample time for questions and discussion. With lunch, snacks, and refreshments provided at the venue, we hope that conversation will spill over session brackets and flow throughout the event.
As we are only able to host approximately forty guests at the live event, register now to secure your spot. For those who can’t make it to Frankfurt but don’t want to miss out entirely, online attendance is possible, and a recording will also be made available after the event.
